The first full album by the band kanekoayano, led by singer Kaneko Ayano, will be released on CD and LP!Titled 'Ishi no Ito,' this marks the band's first full-length release since adopting the name kanekoayano in August last year. Kaneko spent a year on pre-production with guitarist Hirotoshi Hayashi and bassist takuyaiizuka, and with the addition of support members SEI NAGAHATA (drums) and Ryotaro Miyasaka (percussion), the album was recorded over the course of two weeks. The ten-track album, which includes new recordings of 'Lucky' and 'Sabishikunai,' retains the folky aspect familiar to longtime fans, while offering far greater freedom in arrangement. Psychedelic tracks are even more psychedelic; songs influenced by krautrock and dub have evolved into more experimental forms. With congas and steel pans woven into the tracks, each song paints it's own vivid soundscape. The album artwork was specially illustrated by artist TIDE.
