Jean Claudric is a French conductor, composer, and arranger renowned in the fields of popular music and orchestral music. He has collaborated with major artists such as Mireille Mathieu, Johnny Hallyday, and Charles Aznavour.Forty-five years ago, Aznavour Symphonique was released - a project dedicated to the repertoire of Charles Aznavour, recorded at the Théâtre du Châtelet. It features newly orchestrated versions of his greatest classics for a philharmonic orchestra.Jean Claudric's arrangements bring symphonic breadth and a cinematic dimension to the songs, while preserving their melodic strength and emotional depth. This project remains a landmark in the meeting of French chanson and symphonic music. This magnificent reissue, specially remastered for the occasion, is released by Anouche Records, the label founded by Grand Corps Malade.Grand Corps Malade is also the co-director of the film Monsieur Aznavour (2024), starring Tahar Rahim in the title role.Notably, this marks the first time the album has been released on vinyl.
