His first album in 7 years nods to the manic influence from prior works like Butter (2009) while charting the unexplored, a landmark peepshow into the brilliant and tumultuous mind of the producer genius Hudson Mohawke. Spanning 19 tracks, Cry Sugar gleans a dizzying spectrum of ideas grounded by his sonic precision and ability to map a seamless journey for listeners through his gallery of controlled chaos. Cry Sugar is the successor to 2015’s Lantern and follows his mixtape series 3PAC (2020) & TNGHT’s (collaboration with Lunice) II EP (2019).
