Gare Du Nord Fresh From The Can
Double 180gm vinyl LP pressing. In the period before their breakthrough with Sex 'n' Jazz, three international albums by Gare du Nord appeared to be cherished by the many fans of the first hour. The debut album (In Search Of) Excellounge appeared in the slipstream of St Germain's Tourist and became a classic in the genre. Successor Kind Of Cool contained - in addition to the title song in the best Miles Davis tradition - the film hit Sold My Soul. The successful Club Gare Du Nord had a remarkable contribution by trumpet player Erik Truffaz in the classic 'We Still Grow' and the catchy Becker/Fagen adaptation 'Go Back, Jack.'
