'...Almost There' is the brand new album from dark post-punk act Executioner's Mask. The band exploded with their Profound Lore Records debut Despair Anthems which was praised by artists from Leviathan's Jef Whitehead to The Mountain Goats' John Darnielle for its potent songwriting and stark execution. This was followed by their dreamy follow-up, Winterlong, and it's two hours of remixes by members of Full Of Hell, Deafheaven, Xiu Xiu and a litany of others. Stripping each song down to its essence over three blisteringly hot days in Houston, TX, Almost There is dark shoegaze at it's most snarling, noisy and suffocating. The songs are visualized through the unflinchingly raw illustrations of Gerald Scarfe (Pink Floyd, Disney's Hercules) and refined through production by Anthony Sanchez (Burning Glass Records), Jeff Zeigler (Nothing, Knifeplay) and Jack Endino (Mark Lanegan, Soundgarden, Dwarves).
