Espers The Weed Tree
Espers 2005 sophomore release explored songs from the groups' collective inspirations - traditional songs, as well as covers of Nico, Michael Hurley and Blue Oyster Cult, with one original tune for good measure. With Meg Baird and Greg Weeks again splitting the vocals, he expanded lineup that would make the acclaimed II the following year (featuring Otto Hauser on percussion and Helena Espvall on cello) came magically together on "The Weed Tree.
