When the truly unique band PSYCHOTIC WALTZ disbanded in 1997, there was a gap that could only be filled with the creation of DEADSOUL TRIBE in 2001. Singer, flautist and figurehead Devon Graves, also known as Buddy Lackey, had moved to Vienna in the meantime because of a relationship, where he found suitable musicians for DEADSOUL TRIBE. On the debut “Deadsoul Tribe”, Davon Graves still played some instruments himself, but they were already a band with four members. Even though the style may differ from PSYCHOTIC WALTZ in some respects, the target group is automatically defined. And even a little broader, because alongside metal and prog you can also hear influences from Tool. The very organic-sounding album received very good reviews and was readily accepted by the fans. The band then played at the Prog Power Europe Festival in Holland. It is astonishing that DEADSOUL TRIBE's albums have not yet been released on vinyl, especially since the PSYCHOTIC WALTZ 2024 catalog has been reissued (Inside Out/Sony Music). Golden Core are now closing this gap with the first two albums, mastered for vinyl of course and with a printed insert. The LPs are limited to 300 copies, which are sure to sell out quickly.
