'Colourfield' marks Dan Michaelson's first full length release as an instrumental artist and his debut on Village Green Recordings. Having found support on Elizabeth Alker's Radio 3 show Unclassified, who called it 'sweeping, suspended, drone-like, but also precise', and Gilles Peterson's eclectic 6 Music show, 'Colourfield' draws inspiration from such diverse artists as John Luther Adams, Spiritualized, Laurie Anderson, Brian Eno and Gavin Bryers.
