The album includes several of Blaze's songsnow considered classics such as Cold, Cold World;Election Day; Clay Pigeons & If I Could Only Fly.The album also boasts three Foley songs that do notappear on any other recordings; The Way You Smile,Fat Boy, and the title track.At the time of Blaze's tragic murder in 1989 he waslittle known outside of Austin's renegade songwritercircles. He is now revered among the pantheon ofTexas' great songwriters. Townes Van Zant andLucinda Willliams both penned moving tributes toBlaze. His songs have been covered by John Prine,Merle Haggard, Lyle Lovett, Billy Strings, and WillieNelson.
