Parisian producer Young Pulse returns with his new EP, Reachin' Out. This 3-track boogie & electro-funk project blends a vintage sound with a modern touch, featuring Australian singer Fleur De Mur and French producer Wayata.
Reachin' Out - is the electro-funk track that gives its name to the project, co-produced with multi-instrumentalist Wayata. Young Pulse's vocals, enhanced by a vintage vocoder and era-specific synths, recreate an authentic vibe, true to 1984.
Love Addict - is the second track from Young Pulse's EP,
featuring Australian vocalist Fleur De Mur. Its long intro feels like
a tribute to the 'extended dub mixes' played in early 80s New
York clubs, honoring producers and remix pioneers such as
Larry Levan, François K, John Morales, Jellybean, or Tony Humphries. It then transitions into an uplifting modern disco anthem.
Lose Control - is the other electro-funk/boogie track on the project, fully produced and performed by Y.P. The influences of 80s legends like the Bar-Kays, Cameo, and the funk master Prince shine through, brought to life by the vintage sounds of the Moog, Poly-61, and Prophet V synthesizers.
