In February 2024, Long Distance Calling celebrated a career-defining moment: their biggest show to date at the historic Lichtburg cinema in Essen, Germany, in front of more than 1,200 fans. Surrounded by the majestic atmosphere of the venue, the band expanded their trademark instrumental rock sound with a stunning arrangement of strings and brass. Revisiting key moments of their catalogue, and especially reimagining tracks from Eraser and the seminal Avoid The Light, Long Distance Calling created a one- of-a-kind performance that bridges the past and the present of their musical journey. The result is an immersive live experience that showcases the full emotional and sonic spectrum of the band – from delicate, cinematic moments to massive walls of sound. This new live release captures that special night in all its detail: the intensity of the performance, the intimacy of the audience connection, and the sheer scale of Long Distance Calling's sound when elevated by orchestral textures. A powerful document of a band at their creative peak, this recording is both a celebration of the past and a bold step into the future.
