Unborn Ghost Airs Of Contempt And Derision
Unborn Ghost is the studio project of Brian M. Clark, an American musician, writer, and visual artist based in Denver, Colorado. Clark is best known for overseeing the now-defunct Unpop Art Movement from 2004 to 2010. Unborn Ghost's debut album, Airs of Contempt and Derision, was recorded in Clark's home studio during the coronavirus pandemic lockdowns of the early 2020s. It features guest appearances by Ralph Gean, Little Fyodor, Vadge Moore, and members of The Partridge Family Temple. Airs of Contempt and Derision was produced by Howard Karp, whose previous production and audio engineering has included work with artists such as Stone Temple Pilots, Sum 41, Royal Crown Review, Elegantly Wasted, et al. The album's cover artwork was created by Portuguese artist Hello The Mushroom (Sarah Lucas) specifically for the release. The vinyl LP edition of this album is pressed on blue smoke vinyl with light pink splattered vinyl (limited to 500 copies); the cassette tape edition is manufactured in a black plastic shell case with printed silver lettering (limited to 100 copies); and the compact disc edition is presented as a matte finish CD Digipack. Clark has recently been interviewed for websites such as The Aither (Sidney, Australia) and podcasts, including The Book of Very Very Bad Things (Pittson, Pennsylvania) and Queen City Sounds (Denver, Colorado), in support of the album.
