Token Hearts deliver a sonic mash-up of catchy pop melodies and vintage cool. Fronted by lead vocalist and bassist Patrick O'Connor (aka Buzz Hagstrom from The Woggles), the band brings together an all-star lineup of Atlanta's underground music scene. Vocalist-guitarist Buffi Aguero (Tiger! Tiger!) is joined by her Subsonics bandmates Clay Reed (lead guitar) and Sam Leyja (organ). Will Fratesi, powerhouse drummer of W8ing4UFOs (Cat Power, Smoke, and many other bands) rounds out this lineup to create a genre-bending supergroup that will blow your mind!
With influences spanning from the cinematic twang of Lee Hazlewood, the experimental vibes of Spacemen 3, the rock 'n' roll grit of Link Wray, the melodic wit of the Kinks, and the quirky 80's charm of TV Personalities, Token Hearts deliver a debut album that feels both fresh and nostalgic.
