Tito Rodriguez At The Palladium
Known by many fans as "El Inolvidable" (The Unforgettable One), Puerto Rican singer and bandleader Tito Rodríguez achieved great success in the 1950s during the peak of the mambo and cha-cha-cha dance craze. He would remain a highly popular artist until his untimely death on February 28, 1973, at the age of 50. This release presents his iconic 1960 LP At the Palladium, in which he fuses traditional Latin rhythms with Latin Jazz. Although it was taped at that celebrated New York nightclub, this is not a conventional live recording, as the Palladium was used as if it were a studio, with no audience present, thus allowing for a recording of superb audio quality in which each instrument of his band is perfectly captured. 180-gram VIRGIN VINYL LIMITED EDITION.
