The Sweet Life Mexico City Heart
The first in a series of posthumous releases from the fantastical singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and all-around musical hermit, Tim Alexander (aka Bab). Hailing from San Jose, CA, Bab began his career in Los Angeles with the paisley underground power pop band A Western Front. Always on the move, Bab settled into a life of constantly writing and recording thousands of songs. Always creating but rarely performing, Bab preferred solitude to life on the road. Mexico City Heart features 12 nutso psych/power pop tracks about loss and hope. Recorded in Bab's kitchen with all analog equipment, MCH Includes a driving version of Guided By Voices', I Am A Scientist. Limited to 300, 180-gram gold vinyl, gatefold edition.
