This Split 7" contains THE SHORE (ambient pop) on one and LEA QUi with french Lo-fi pop on the other side. Exceptionally good

THE SHORE is the name of a new studio project by Tom "The Perc" Redecker and Carlo van Putten, vocalist of The Convent/White Rose Transmission. The two have been friends since the heyday of Strange Ways Records and had often considered collaborating. Thus, THE SHORE was born. These two indie veterans are working with great enthusiasm on their debut album, which is something to look forward to. The formula is simple: Redecker provides the music, van Putten writes the lyrics! For this 7" single, they contributed the song "Flower Days," which already offers a glimpse of the big event to come.
With a Sireena split single, there's no B-side, but rather another A-side, which is referred to here as the AA-side to avoid confusion at the pressing plant. This track is performed by the stunning Lea Qui, a French artist who, under her birth name Lea Saby, was a fixture of Bremen's vibrant indie scene in the 1990s. With the girl band Linda Potatoes, she even made it to the legendary CBGB club in New York.
After many years in Bremen and London, she returned to her homeland a few years ago, where Tom Redecker tracked her down in Lunel, in the south of France, in 2025 and sent her a piece of music. Lea wrote the lyrics, sang the song, and also played guitar and xylophone. With the help of Marlon Klein, Harry Payuta and Rolf Kirschbaum, the wonderful lo-fi song "L'assiette Vide" was created. Sireena presents another exceptional split single in an exciting series of releases!
