the debut album from the cult Brazilian thrash/HC band -released in 2008, out of print since 2010 -for the first time with proper vinyl mastering -gatefold LP with printed insert Brazilian thrash/crossover band Possuído Pelo Cão is a cult band in its homeland, and not just because of some of its members, who are also known as Violator, DxFxCx, Terror Revolucionário and Innocent Kids. The first demo, “Semen Churches”, publicly praised by Possessed singer Jeff Becerra, was released in 2006, and at the time was only released digitally and in a small CD edition. A reissue (CD only) on Golden Core took place in autumn 2024. Political and socially-critical lyrics are typical of the genre, but it goes without saying that fun also plays an important role. This can be heard throughout the energetic debut album Possessed In The Circle Pit. The pleasure of playing and the energy are simply contagious, even on sound. This 2008 debut album has not been available on vinyl since 2010. The timing is perfect, as the band has been active again for a few months and is finally looking to establish itself in Europe. The reissue of the LP, for the first time mastered appropriately for vinyl and in gatefold, as well as the recent 2006 EP “Semen Churches”, also released by Golden Core, help them to do so.
