1956's A Garland of Red was the first in a long line of albums by pianist Red Garland, featuring a handful of standards, a blues ('Blue Red'), and an 'I Got Rhythm' (Charlie Parker's 'Constellation'). For Garland as a Prestige leader it was only the beginning, but a very auspicious one. With Paul Chambers on bass and Arthur Taylor on drums.
