In a radiant bloom of summer-coded tracks woven into an intoxicating whole, Frankfurt am Main–Leipzig duo not even noticed deliver their long-anticipated debut album space beyond noise, out June 5 on Tartelet Records.
After more than a decade carving a distinctive path through diverse club scenes, labels and styles, the pair approached their first full-length statement with renewed focus. Much of the album’s spirit stems from their shared ritual of visiting botanical gardens while touring - from Tunisia to India, Japan to Australia - seeking out these quiet urban sanctuaries as places to recalibrate. That balance between rhythmic precision and environmental immersion became the guiding principle behind space beyond noise.
Field recordings gathered during their travels form a subtle but essential thread throughout the record, weaving natural ambience into the transitions and creating a vivid, lived-in atmosphere. The result bridges club functionality with the deeper narrative flow of a long-form listening experience.
Though its mellow musicality and shapely grooves feel timeless, space beyond noise was conceived with warmer months in mind. Its open melodic sensibility captures the release of energy as the world shifts out of hibernation - the hum of people and places reawakening under sunlit skies.

Electro-funk drive meets swooning pads on “chrone,” while hip-hop cuts and rugged basslines define the sundown roller “diras.” The album’s more driving moments are tempered by dubwise flourishes and smouldering atmospheres, while deeper cuts such as the rolling downtempo glide of “plune”, unfolding into a honey-coated acid line, and the woozy two-step pulse of “skum” reveal a softer but equally assured touch.
Throughout, the duo play with the tension between club propulsion and home-listening intimacy, crafting a vibrant soundtrack equally suited to dancefloors and daydreams. Subtle traces of birdsong, wind and environmental texture bind the album together - reminders of the botanical spaces that shaped its creation.
