After the wild success of their debut 45 and follow up Christmas 7" last year, Night Owls hit the decks once more with another grooving filled 45 of classic soul tunes flipped with the reggae rhythms by Los Angeles's best in the game. This production team comprised of Dan Ubick (The Lions, Connie Price and the Keystones) on Guitar, Blake Colie (Arise Roots, The Lions) on Drum Kit, Dave Wilder (The Lions) on Bass, and Roger Rivas (The Aggrolites, Jason Mraz) on Organ and Piano, is an all-star cast that speaks for itself. Side-A features the Cyril Neville/Leo Nocentelli classic "Gossip" featuring Malik "The Freq" Moore (The Lions, Breakestra) on lead vocals and maestro Elgin Park (Greyboy Allstars) on the infamous coral Sitar part, which plays homage to the original but with a true Night Owls Jamaican twist. Side-B we find a more mid-tempo jam, The Dramatics "Whatcha See is Whatcha Get" featuring the vocal blend of Alex Désert (The Lions), Jesse Wagner (The Aggrolites), and Malik Moore. Another all-star blend of So Cal's finest that elevates this tune to a whole other level and freshness to the ears. Both tunes, brought to you by DanUbe Productions, recorded and mixed to perfection at The Lion's Den, are a must have and sure to get the dance floor going strong!
