With their new album We Are The Gods That Tear Ourselves Apart, Necrotted are now taking the next step in their development and marking another milestone in their history. As always, the LP is designed as a concept album and, with its thought-provoking lyrics, seems even more mature than its predecessors. The band has grown up and knows exactly what it wants to be. The new songs skillfully move between genre boundaries without this fluidity sounding forced. Death metal, black metal and elements from slam and core are mixed together to create an explosive blend. Thunderous blast beats and oppressive slam parts, crashing breakdowns and memorable guitar riffs – the new album has it all. The lyrics, mostly written in English, are once again accompanied by texts in the band's native German. And this time, there are even Latin passages to be discovered. As usual, these are performed exclusively with inhuman-sounding guttural vocals. We Are The Gods That Tear Ourselves Apart released via the label Reaper Entertainment and is certain to make a big impact on the contemporary extreme metal scene.
