The great career of the orchestra leader and oboist Mitch Miller really began in 1950, when his title "The Yellow Rose Of Texas" occupied the number one spot of the US Billboard charts for 6 weeks and Miller sold more than one million records. In 1957, he was able to increase this success even further when he conquered the peak in Germany with "March From The River Kwai" being part of the OST of the film "The Bridge on the River Kwai" and sold 4 million singles. For all vinyl lovers, Mitch Miller's greatest hits are now available on this LP.
