The Legendary 1963 Piedmont sides of Mississippi John Hurt, his first since his influential 1928 recordings for the Okeh label. 'Folk Songs And Blues' was originally released in 1963. Recorded after his rediscovery in the early 60s this album features many of his best known songs including 'Candy Man Blues', 'Salty Dog', 'Spike Driver Blues', 'Louis Collins', 'Spanish Fandango' and 'Avalon Blues. ' The record captures him in fine form on just guitar and harmonica accompanying his vocals. 180 gram vinyl.
