Just three years after the release of their last studio album Sandglass and 53 years after the band was founded, the legendary (fusion) rock formation KRAAN is finally releasing a new studio work to the delight of their fans. And it was definitely worth the wait. On Zoup, the virtuously playful band celebrates their innovative, completely timeless mix of rock and jazz, enriched with psychedelic and funk elements, in a casual, self-confident and confident manner. The eight brand new compositions, characterized by sophisticated harmonies and grooves, sound wonderfully fresh, melodically relaxed and electrifying. While exceptional bassist Hellmut Hattler and drummer Jan Frides elegantly and powerfully provide the sophisticated, grooving rhythm framework, guitarist Peter Wolbrandt fascinates with his urgent yet artistically delicate string and synthesizer skills. Always homogenous in their interaction, the trio manages to maintain their typical, weightless group sound while at the same time coming up with new, surprising ideas (and occasional pop appeal).
