The songs are very personal and have a running theme, which is California. Francesca's beautiful and poignant voice, poetic yet direct lyrics, and her own style of acoustic picking are the backbone. Glistening pedal steel, bar room piano, Fender Tele, down home fiddle, and throbbing bass and drums cater to the songs with perfection.
