Brooklyn-based Brass Queens is an all-female brass band with a unique sound that blends the energy of the Big Apple with the Big Easy. Hot Tub Sessions Vol. I features a collection of songs with a range of influences including Balkan, mambo, film scores, pop, and classic rock. Known for their high-energy performances, The Brass Queens have toured nationally and internationally, gracing stages at major festivals and events such as Ottawa Jazz Festival, Northlands Music Festival, MusikFest, Duck Jazz Festival, and multiple appearances at the Exit Zero Jazz Festival; they have also performed on Good Morning America as well as iconic venues like The Capitol Theater and multiple shows at the historic Blue Note Jazz Club and Brooklyn Bowl. The Brass Queens sound is a vibrant mix of the New York Scene and New Orleans, creating a nonstop party atmosphere that has audiences dancing from start to finish. They are the 2023 winners of We Love NYC’s Rider’s Choice Award, after the people of New York voted the Queens as their favorite of the MTA’s Music Under New York’s roster of subway performers. Their debut EP Royal Street was released in 2021 and was followed by their first full-length album Black & Gold in 2023. Hot Tub Sessions Vol. I upcoming tour dates include New York, Chicago, Detroit, Madison WI, Rochester & Saratoga NY and Charlotte.
