As a committed live band, the Axel Fischbacher Trio decided to record a "direct-to-disc" LP at the legendary Abbey Road Studio in London in 2023. In this process, the music is transferred directly from the mixing console to a cutting machine, which cuts the grooves into a lacquer from which the LPs are then duplicated. Such recordings are guaranteed to be free of fakes! You can't get any closer to live. The result is a first-class sounding high-end LP, 180g, with gatefold cover and 12-page booklet about the exciting days in London. Anyone listening to the album will sense what happened here: life on stage. The newly composed pieces of "The London Session" and the way they were recorded gave the musicians plenty of room for music that was truly lived in the moment and spontaneously created.
