Arthur "The King Of Lounge Music" Lyman was a gifted artist indeed. His legendary musical career broke wide open in the mid[1]-fifties after working with keyboardist Martin Denny, as he began his own solo career with a plethora of hit "exotica" recordings over the next four decades.
Playing multiple keyboard, jazz vibraphone and marimba instruments, his talents pleased millions of fans with his exciting recordings, songwriting, concerts, mov[1]ies and television show appearances.
Arthur's fortunes carried further into the early sixties as he broke even more ground, creating one of the
most beautiful crossover holiday hit albums of all time with his masterpiece "Mele Kalikimaka- Merry Christmas."
Featuring stellar interpretations of inspirational favorites like definitive readings of
"Mary's Boy Child", "We Three Kings" and "O Holy Night", the Lp also included standard Christmas greats like his hit renditions of "Winter Wonderland" "Silver Bells" and Mel Torme's "The Christmas Song."
